London, England
The Lows spent their social season in London. She helped design her home in Warwickshire in England using her skills in woodworking and metalworking. At this home, she hosted many parties and even hosted the Prince of Wales. London was also the place that changed both her life and ours. In London in the year 1911, she sat next to Sir Baden Powell at a Luncheon. He founded Boy Scouts and inspired Juliette to start Girl Scouts.

Scotland
The highlands of Scotland served as a hunting ground for her and her family. She formed a patrol for local Girl Guides near her home in Scotland. In Scotland she would enjoy the scenery, the bagpipes, and even the Scottish pastime curling. Her family would spent multiple months in the fall at Meggernie Castle in central Scotland. She described the castle in the snow like this “It looks like what we used to read in fairy tales of turreted castles...” Learn more at http://www.stacycordery.com/juliette-gordon-low/juliette-gordon-low-the-scottish-national-pastime-19-november-2010/
