About this site and purpose
Hi! My name is Amelia and I am a GS Ambassador in Girl Scouts of Central Maryland and I have been a Girl Scout for 13 years! Throughout my GS time I have gotten the chance to travel locally, out of State, as well as globally to World Centers. Places I have traveled include Savannah (First Headquarters), DC, local state parks, New York, London (Pax Lodge), and Switzerland (Our Chalet). Throughout my travels as a GS, I have gotten opportunities that I would not have gotten if I had traveled solo. These include staying at World Centers, meeting other Girl Scouts, participating in events, and connecting me with a large network of over ten million Girl Scouts and Girl Guides globally. I choose to focus on GS travel for my Gold award, because it has opened up so many opportunities for me and I hope it does the same for you.
