Let’s be honest, when traveling our hair gets knotted and tangled. When traveling long distances either by car, plane, or train our hair will get tossed and turned. Instead of worrying about this, try out some of these easy hairstyles that are perfect for traveling. As someone who has traveled for nearly six hours on a plane and over 20 hours in a car, I know how aggregating it can be to arrive with tangled hair. When you arrive, you don’t want to spend hours untangling your hair, especially when you have jet lag and a long day of activities ahead. Try out some of these hairstyles. The benefits are that some of these hairstyles would be perfect to do while waiting to board the plane.

French braids

This is one of the most versatile hair styles. For Girl Scouts, braids are a good hair option. Not only does keeping your hair tied back help keep ticks out, it can also help while traveling. This is a hairstyle I almost always travel in. My Girl Scout friends and I, enjoy braiding each other’s hair before we board the plane or car. if you are not sure how to French Braid, this is the perfect opportunity to learn. Or you can always ask your GS friends to teach you. These instructions are a perfect step by step guide

Tip: The next day when you arrive at your destination, you can tie the braids back together into a bun. Even if the braids are somewhat messed up from travel. You will not be able to tell. This saves you a day of untangling hair, and instead you can get go explore the location you are in.

Bandanna

Girl Scouts are aware of the many uses of a bandanna. The bandanna is a GS travel necessity. One way to remember to bring your banana and to make sure you have it at all times is to wear it in your hair. By wearing it in you hair you don’t have to worry about what is under neath of it. Another reason to wear it when you travel is to coordinate it with your group. Have everyone in your troop where the same color banana in your hair. This way when you travel you can easily spot each other in a crowd.

Messy Bun

Toss your hair back into this easy hairstyle. The messy bun is already messy, so no worry about it getting more

messy. Plus, it is super easy to do, so you can always redo it if it comes out.

Fishtail

Similar to the braid, the fishtail pulls each strand back into a collective whole. Learn to make this hairstyle at https://www.thetrendspotter.net/how-to-fishtail-braid-your-hair/

This could be another activity to do before you load onto the plane.

Put detangler into its

Girl Scouts always say to be prepared. If you know your hair is going to get tangled, you can bring detangler with you. Or if you do not want to bring it with you, just put in a bit in before you travel. This can help it stay detangeled throughout your travel.

At the end of the day, how you wear your hair is not that important. However, if you are worried about it getting tangled on you travel, these hairstyles may prevent the struggle of untangling hair.
