Even if we are at a temporary standstill of travel, we can still enjoy past and future travel. One way to achieve this is by making travel crafts. These can be placed around you home to remind you of traveling and can even prepare you for your next trip.

1) An Inspiration travel board

paste images from magazines, pamphlet, maps... to a board. Include images that inspire you to travel or from places you have traveled. Make the board unique to you. When you are done, you can hang it up in your room.

Note: this is one of the options for the first part of the senior travel badge.

2) Postcard and letter wall.

Take a spot in your room that lacks personality. Transform it by, pasting postcards, letters, cards, and more onto it. For example: this spot is the upper half of my window.

3) Map of places you have been.

Buy a cork board map or a map you can place pins in. Hang it somewhere in your house. Place pins in the locations you have visited. Use different color pins for different members of you family, different year trips, or different themes.

4) Guest book pin map

Near the entrance of your house place a pin map. Have guests put a pin in from where they are from. This way you have a recording of the many places your guests, friends, or family are from.

5) Travel Scrapbook

Spend time sorting travel photos and make that scrapbook you have always wanted to make. Add different photos, maps, cards, documents, wrappers, and more into your book. Play around with different textures, themes, colors, formats, and more.
